Arcad3 : The Fusion of Web2 Gaming and Web3 Innovation
Arcad3 is a web gaming platform that allows players to play, compete and win crypto-currencies.
The project is one of several selected by the BLOX acceleration program in partnership with Ternoa.
Birth of the project
The idea for the project came from one person: Nathan Zenou
Nathan has a background as a full stack web developer.
He discovered the world of blockchain in early 2021 as an investor and subsequently became interested in the technology and how it works.
At the end of 2021, he decided to launch Arcad3, combining his skills as a developer, blockchain technology and his passion for arcade games.
Arcad3 is based on the observation that only 1% of gamers earn money thanks to their performance in video games, and most of them are pro gamers in structures.
The platform offers any player the opportunity to earn crypto thanks to their performance in video games.
How does Arcade3 work?
You connect with Ternoa wallet and choose your nickname.
There are currently 3 games available
You will need to buy credit units to be able to play the games. Playing a game costs one credit unit.
Each game takes the form of a tournament lasting 7 days. Depending on each player's ranking, they will earn more or less credits at the end of each tournament.
These credits can be swapped with the native crypto (e.g. CAPS).
ATTENTION: The platform is currently in BETA version.
- The swap of credit units into crypto is not available.
- 100 credit units are allocated to each player when they first connect to the platform.
- You can only connect with the ternoa wallet.
- Credit units will be reset when you switch to the mainnet version.
What's next for the short, medium and long term ?
Arcad3 is supported by the Ternoa Labs, in particular to find partnerships with games that already have a relationship with Ternoa.
The aim is to add new games to the platform.
In the future, Arcad3 also wants to be a platform that will allow any WEB2 game based on UNITY to migrate to a WEB3 version.
At the moment, we don't own the items we buy in game. This complicates their sale as well as the resale of a game account for example.
Arcad3 is offering a unity-compatible SDK that will allow in-game ITEM purchases to be converted directly into NFT on the Ternoa blockchain.
A roadmap will be announced in the coming months, but here are some of the points made by the CEO at AMA.
